Shanghai airports elevate services for 7th CIIE
Released:2024-10-30

As the seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) is nearing, Shanghai's airports are enhancing their services to support the event. A dedicated leadership team has refined plans for safety, service, group handling, and environmental management, building on experience from previous expos.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport have transformed with 34 CIIE-themed installations, over 2,000 new plants, and promotional content on thousands of screens. The expo's mascot, Jinbao, welcomes guests throughout the terminals while hundreds of CIIE flags create a festive atmosphere.

Special service centers for the CIIE in all four terminals are set to open to offer multilingual translation, information inquiries, transportation guidance, and emergency assistance. The airports' one-stop comprehensive service centers continue to provide international travelers with 24/7 services covering payment, tourism, transportation, and communication needs.

The airport inquiry hotline, 96990, now features CIIE-specific prompts, and exceptional security lanes and customized boarding passes have been introduced. A professional team from the VIP Service will handle crucial reception tasks, and over 200 volunteers will assist with inquiries, promotion, and luggage handling.

Pudong Airport has introduced a multilingual voice navigation service, allowing arriving passengers to scan QR codes for guidance in English, French, and Russian. At the same time, Hongqiao Airport has launched a CIIE-themed commercial promotion featuring interactive games and challenges with prizes.

The airport logistics team has established a "green channel" for CIIE materials, ensuring priority handling, sorting, inspection, and delivery. They have facilitated the transport of 51 shipments, totaling 261 items and 11.97 metric tons, including electric vehicles and medical equipment from various countries.
